Why Choose Professional Appliance Repair

Modern appliances have gotten harder to read. A washer that stops mid-cycle, a fridge that runs constantly, an oven that will not hold temperature. These all throw the same kind of vague symptom, and the part that failed is often not the part that is complaining. Swapping in the obvious component is how people end up paying twice.

Our technicians work the same structured diagnostic path on every call: reproduce the symptom, read the fault codes, test the components in sequence, and identify the actual failure before anything gets replaced. That is slower on the front end and cheaper on the back end.

There is a second reason to have one company handle it. Appliances share systems with the rest of the house. Dryers depend on venting. Refrigerators and freezers are refrigeration, which is the same physics we work with on the commercial side. Alpha Solutions works across appliance repair, HVAC, and commercial refrigeration, so a diagnosis does not stop at the edge of the machine.

Refrigerator and Freezer Repair

Refrigeration failures come with a clock on them. We diagnose units that will not cool, freeze food they should not, run without stopping, leak, ice up, or throw error codes. Common causes we chase down include compressor and starting-component failures, evaporator and condenser fan problems, defrost system faults, thermostat and control board failures, door seal problems, and blocked drain lines.

Oven and Range Repair

Ovens that will not heat, will not hold a set temperature, or will not light are the calls we take most. We work on gas and electric ranges and ovens, and we diagnose bake and broil element failures, igniter and gas valve problems, temperature sensor drift, control board and touchpad faults, door and hinge problems, and burner or cooktop issues.

Dishwasher Repair

Dishwashers fail quietly. They keep running but stop cleaning, or they leave standing water, or they leak somewhere you do not see for a week. We diagnose drainage failures, pump and motor problems, spray arm and circulation issues, door latch and seal failures, heating element faults, and control board problems.

Washer and Dryer Repair

Laundry problems tend to be the most disruptive, because there is no workaround. We repair top-load, front-load, high-efficiency, and stackable washers, and gas and electric dryers. On washers, that means drain pumps, motors, bearings and seals, lid switches and door latches, water inlet valves, and control boards. On dryers, that means heating elements, igniters, thermal fuses, drum rollers and belts, blower wheels, and moisture sensors.

One thing worth knowing: a dryer that needs two cycles to dry a normal load is often not a broken dryer. It is a restricted vent. Airflow is where appliance repair and heating and cooling overlap, and it is the reason we look at venting rather than reaching straight for the heating element. If the trail leads into the home’s air systems, our HVAC team is the same company.

Our Appliance Repair Process

Schedule Your Repair

Book online or call 425-880-7700. Give us the appliance type, the brand and model number, and the symptom. That combination is what lets a technician show up with the likely parts already on the truck instead of ordering them after the visit.

Root-Cause Diagnosis

The technician reproduces the fault, reads any error codes, and tests components in a set sequence. We are looking for the failure that caused the symptom, not the first part that looks suspect. You get the finding and a quote before anything is replaced.

Professional Repair

Most repairs are completed on the first visit from parts on the truck. When a specialized part has to come from a distributor, we order it and schedule the return visit quickly, and we tell you what the timeline looks like.

Test, Verify, and Safety Check

We run the appliance through a full cycle to confirm the repair holds under real operation. On gas appliances we complete a safety check before we leave. We clean up the work area and pass along the maintenance tips that keep the same failure from coming back.

Appliance Repair Costs

We quote each repair rather than publishing rates, because the same symptom can be a small fix or a major one. These are the factors that move the number:

  • Which part failed. A door switch, a belt, or a thermal fuse is a different job than a compressor, a sealed system, or a main control board.
  • Labor to reach the failure. Some parts are behind a panel. Others require pulling the machine, removing the drum, or getting into a built-in cabinet.
  • Whether the part is stocked or ordered. Common components ride on the truck. Brand-specific or discontinued parts have to be sourced.
  • Appliance type and configuration. Stackable, built-in, and high-efficiency units usually take more labor to access than freestanding units.
  • Whether the fix stays inside the appliance. A dryer that turns out to have a venting problem brings a different scope of work than a dryer with a failed element.

You get the diagnosis and a quote before repair work begins. If the machine is old enough or the failure is severe enough that replacement is the better value, we will tell you that plainly.

Appliance Repair — Frequently Asked Questions

Which appliances does Alpha Solutions repair?

Refrigerators and freezers, ovens and ranges, dishwashers, and washers and dryers. Each one has its own page with the detail on common failures and what a repair visit involves.

How do I decide between repairing an appliance and replacing it?

Age is the first filter. An appliance in the early part of its expected life with one failed component is almost always worth repairing. Past that point, it depends on which part failed. A sealed refrigeration system or a main control board is a heavier call than a pump or a switch. Our technician gives you the assessment and the quote, and you make the call.

What information should I have ready when I book?

The appliance type, the brand, the model number if you can find it, and a plain description of what it is doing. Model numbers are usually on a sticker inside the door, along the frame, or on the back. That detail is what lets the technician bring the right parts on the first trip.

Will you have the part on the truck, or will I need a second visit?

Our trucks carry the parts that fail most often, and a large share of repairs finish on the first visit. Brand-specific or less common parts have to come from a distributor. If that is the case, we order it and get the return visit on the calendar right away.

Do I get a price before the repair starts?

Yes. The technician diagnoses the problem, explains what failed, and gives you a quote before any repair work begins. Nothing gets replaced without your approval.

How soon can someone come out?

Scheduling depends on the day and where you are in the four counties we cover. Tell us what the appliance is doing when you book. A refrigerator that has stopped cooling gets treated differently than a dishwasher that is draining slowly.

Can one visit cover more than one appliance?

Yes, and it is worth mentioning when you book. If you have two appliances acting up, tell us both at scheduling so the technician can allow the time and bring parts for each.

Do you work on gas appliances?

Yes. Our technicians service gas dryers and gas ranges in addition to electric models. Gas work brings in components like igniters, gas valves, flame sensors, and burner assemblies, and we complete a safety check on every gas appliance before we leave.

My appliance is showing an error code. Can you read it?

Yes. Give us the code when you book if you have it. Error codes narrow the diagnosis, but they point at a symptom rather than a cause. The same code can come from several different failures, so we still run the full diagnostic before recommending a repair.

Do you repair commercial kitchen equipment too?

Residential appliance repair and commercial equipment are handled separately. If you run a restaurant, a bar, a market, or another food-service business, see commercial refrigeration.

What happens if the part my appliance needs is discontinued?

It comes up on older machines, and we will tell you straight. Sometimes there is a compatible replacement or a rebuilt part available. Sometimes there is not, and at that point the honest advice is to replace the appliance rather than keep chasing the part. We would rather say that than take a repair that will not hold.

Do you also handle heating and cooling?

Yes. HVAC is our largest service line, and we self-perform it the same way we do appliance work. If your furnace or air conditioner needs attention, see HVAC services.
